Nuclear Operator (Fuel Handling), Bruce Power

As a Nuclear Operator in Fuel Handling at the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station, Jared has found a rewarding career full of daily challenges to improve his personal performance while continuing to maintain the highest level of operating standards. “Working at Bruce Power, you feel like you are part of something unique” said Jared.

“It is a pretty cool workplace here, when you think about the fact that we not only provide a reliable source of electricity to the province of Ontario, but in doing that we’re also able to help save lives at the same time through our medical isotope production.”

“I am proud to work for a company that has good values both ethically and socially, and is such a part of the great community we have here for my family.”

With the current refurbishments being planned to extend the operating life of Bruce’s units to 2064, the future of Ontario’s nuclear industry is bright. “It’s great to have the opportunity to live in such a beautiful area of the province, while working for a company that truly cares about supporting local people and businesses”.
